Hi everyone. Hope you like my new site. My name is Diane Wilsher and I have 5 guinea pigs, 2 dogs, and tropical fish. I have 1 sister Julie and ever sinse she was a child she had always wanted a guinea pig but our late father wouldn't let her have one as he reckoned they smelled. We had numerous cats and dogs  and hamsters and mice but no guinea pig.

In May 2005 we were in Ebbw Vale and I happened to ask Julie what she wanted for her birthday in July and she replied "A guinea pig"

That was it, I bought her her first guinea pig in Petsville Pet Shop in Bethcar Street (Now closed down) for £10.00. That guinea pig was a Red Dutch boar called Socks and was the start of how we came to keep guinea pigs. I joined a forum called Guinea Pigs World and learned a great deal about looking after and feeding them etc. Sadly Socks died from a URI in August 2006. I have liived in Six Bells, Abertillery all my life.

This very sadly missed lady is Julie's and my late Mum Nellie. She was very badly overweight and was in Crawshay House, a residential home in Brynmawr, Gwent for 17 years.

She passed away in Neville Hall Hospital Abergavenny on the 31st December 1991 from a heart attack age 70. The picture was taken at Tyleri Court Day Centre, Abertillery during an Easter Bonnet Parade.
